A private household on the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain two apartment units located in the same building. The ideal candidate will have strong private household housekeeping experience, excellent laundry and garment-care skills, and the ability to maintain a 3,000+ square foot residence to a polished, high standard.
This position is best suited for someone who is professional, meticulous, fluent in English, comfortable working independently, and truly enjoys being around dogs.
Main Work Duties:
- Perform detailed housekeeping for two apartment units located in the same building
- Clean and maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, main living areas, kitchens, and shared household spaces
- Keep both residences neat, organized, and consistently well-presented
- Handle household laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting items away properly
- Provide special care for certain garments and household linens, including steaming, pressing, and ironing as needed
- Maintain closets, drawers, laundry areas, and household spaces in an orderly condition
- Feed and walk the family’s dogs as needed
- Keep household supplies organized and notify the family when items are running low
- Maintain a clean, calm, and professional household environment
- No cooking required
