Compensation: $35–$40 per hour, Paid via W2 (on the book)

A private household in New York City is seeking a professional, efficient, and reliable Private Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, organized, and well-run residence. This is a detail-oriented role for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, works with consistency and care, and is comfortable completing tasks independently within scheduled hours.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, discreet, organized, and able to manage their time effectively. This position reports to the House Manager and is paid hourly.
Main Work Duties:
- Perform thorough cleaning of all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and common spaces.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, sanitize surfaces, and care for furniture to a consistently high standard.
- Maintain overall tidiness and organization throughout the home.
- Take full ownership of household laundry, including washing, drying, folding, ironing, and returning items to their proper locations.
- Handle fabrics, garments, linens, and household items with proper care and attention to detail.
- Manage grocery shopping as directed, following provided lists and ensuring items are properly stored.
- Monitor household supplies and proactively notify the House Manager when items need to be restocked.
- Walk the dog occasionally as scheduled or requested by the House Manager.
- Keep the pet’s area clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times.
- Communicate professionally with the House Manager regarding household needs, supplies, and task updates.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a private household, luxury residence, or high-end setting.
- English fluency required, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly efficient, self-directed, and able to complete tasks thoroughly within scheduled hours.
- Discreet, trustworthy, punctual, and dependable.
- Comfortable working around pets.
- Professional and respectful in a private home environment.
- Two or more references from previous UHNW estate or private household experience preferred.
- Excellent references from previous household employers required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
